Centralia – veterans of New York improvisation return to Chashama Theater

The show includes a full evening of entertainment:
8:00 p.m. – Sketch comedy performed by special guests The Royal We
8:30 p.m. – Centralia
9:30 p.m. – Afterglow with DJs

A cross between Blue Man Group and Monty Python – Centralia – is a completely unscripted show that consistently delights audiences with seemingly limitless “real” moments born from comedic characters, mythological worlds and themes that pulse with primitive energy.

Centralia is also pleased to host special guests – The Royal We.

The Royal We, one of New York’s hottest young sketch comedy troupes, lampoons American politics and culture with original scenes and songs that Offoffonline calls “some of the smartest New York comedy this year... reminiscent of the MTV sketch comedy gem, ‘The State,’ and Comedy Central's, ‘The Kids in the Hall.’”  From The War on Terror to gay parenting, nothing is sacred.

Drawn from the margins of Dostoyevky's "Crime and Punishment", K.I. >From "Crime" is an intimate, explosive theatrical event that depicts the last living moments Katerina Ivanovna, the widow of Raskolnikov's drinking pal, Marmeladov.

A signature work for director Kama Ginkas and the renowned Moscow New Generation Theatre, K.I. From "Crime" also features a central performance of spellbinding virtuosity by Oksana Mysina. After sold-out performances around the world, we are proud to present the New York City debut of K.I. from "Crime" in association with Baryshnikov Dance Foundation, and through the generous support of the Trust for Mutual Understanding, Altria, and TCG/ITI.
