Rick Kariolic:
"Paint & Shoot " at 112
West 44th
Street May 14 - 22, 2006 Rick will have
artists create a scenic backround in the space, then have models come
in and photograph them against the background, all to be documented on
video. He will also scavenge NYC's garbage for cool and weird things
to be used by the artists for this project along with the usual paints
and things. www.kariolic.com
Attention Artists! Artists are being sought for this installation in chashama's
44th Street space in Times Square. It is to be done with
different FOUND objects with an abstract, yet focused theme.
Like: hospital, party, high-fashion, sexy, ghetto, bored, a bum's life,
a child's life, alive, hate, lust, kill, death, tea time, authority,
suicide, sport, bondage, Dominatrix, music, nails getting done, a
fitting, window performance, video games, boxing, smoke out, drugs,
writing, insanity, hair, retro, locker room, reading, love, cowboys
and Indians, and so on. If you have an idea let me know because
I am setting up and thinking with these themes for the main story.
It will be a background for fashion stories. They will be
changed a few times a day. With any of these themes, they are
open to YOUR interpretation. Temporary is
maybe half a
day. It will be recorded and archived.
