Site-Specific Sundays chashama, in association with
Summer on the Hudson @ Riverside Park South, is presenting
Site-Specific Sundays at Red Shade Plaza as
part of our summer festival of free performances. Three companies and one
individual artist have been selected to create a site-specific movement piece
for the Red Shade Plaza area of Riverside Park
South.
This is chashama?s second year presenting Site-Specific Sundays as part of Summer on the Hudson, an annual outdoor festival of cultural and community events presented in Riverside Park South through the City of New York?s Parks and Recreation Department. Summer on the Hudson is a free summer-long arts festival that presents a diverse mix of music concerts, dance performances, movies under the stars, DJ dance parties, family programs, special events, and wellness activities. presents OASIS is chashama's annual festival of free performance featuring established and up-and-coming artists who can showcase their work to audiences who might not otherwise be exposed to art in a casual setting in midtown. With the performances happening on the street-level window stage, audiences can enjoy the action from the indoor seats or from the sidewalk. *(Performance schedules are not affected by the explosion at 41st Street, but are otherwise subject to change.)
