137-35 Northern Boulevard Flushing, NY 11354 Participating artists: Darlo Escobar, Gabriela Galvan, Jeffrey Gibson, Mark Golamco, Patrick Hamilton, Daniel Joglar, Rachel Mason "Visions from Abroad" brings together seven artists from Latin
America and New York for two weeks in Flushing to take the multi-cultural
temperature of the community. The artists will then create new works of
contemporary art in response to their experiences. Art making will take place in
the Main Gallery of Flushing Town Hall, affording the public the opportunity to
explore the process from conceptualization to realization with them.
Take the # 7 IRT subway to the Main Street station. Go
upstairs and walk north on Main Street (Citibank will be on the right side of
the street, Burger King will be on the left side). Walk until you come to
Northern Boulevard (Main Street ends here). Cross Northern Boulevard and
make a right turn until you come to Linden Place. We are on the corner of
Linden Place and Northern Boulevard.
