FILMSPACE PROGRAM DIRECTOR
chashama, a not-for-profit arts organization that transforms temporarily
vacant real estate into space for artists, seeks a part-time Program
Director. The Program Director will work with the chashama staff to create,
launch and run FilmSpace, a new program to provide space and other resources
at a subsidized rate to emerging filmakers for low-budget films in New York
City.
The Program Director will work with the chashama staff to establish the
program, will work with the General Manager and Technical Director to
transform newly acquired properties into FilmSpace locations, and will
review proposals and schedule film projects in our locations.
Candidates should have a strong background in film production and working
with emerging artists. Some experience in building renovation, venue
management and/or arts administration is a plus.
Position is half time (20 hours per week) with competitive not-for-profit
