PRODUCTION ASSISTANTS NEEDED FOR PHOTO SHOOT and BOOK PROJECT

LOCALE: Pier 59 Studios (Chelsea Piers) in NYC

We are are seeking production assistants, interns and/or entertainers for a wonderful cause.

The Methamphetamine Epidemic in the U.S. has created thousands of orphaned children, 

Our project's goal is to give these littlest victims some much needed help and HOPE.

DERRICK LITTLE (www.facesbyderrick.com) is a NYC-based award-winning face painter and makeup artist and  ANA SCHECTER (www.anaphoto.net) is a NYC based portrait photographer.

Together, Derrick and Ana are organizing and creating a fundraising ART-BOOK to raise awareness about, and bring assistance to children born to Methamphetamine-addicted parents .  The book is called Painting Little Faces and it will feature Derrick Little's original face paintings, as photographed by Ana Schecter on as many as 500 children in the height of their wonder years.  ALL proceeds from sales of  Painting Little Faces will help to build and/or staff much needed orphanages for children born to Meth-Addicted parents across the United States.  Painting Little Faces will gather children from all classes and children of all colors in an attempt to show how ALL children shine when they are given a bit of special attention and are allowed to dream, use their imagination and play.

The book will also feature quotes from our "age-wise models" regarding to their Hopes and Dreams of the future.

Interviews with these children will be executed and compiled by published psychologist and research expert, Matt Porter, PHD.

Derrick Little and Ana Schecter will shoot their "dummy book" on SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 10th, 2008 at the  PIER59 STUDIOS in NYC.

We are currently seeking Production Assistants to help with the execution and organization of this shoot date.

Derrick and Ana will photograph between 35 and 60 children (all ages 4 - 6 years old) in the studio on February 10th, 2008 to create their sample book, which will then be used to find patrons, investors and organizations who can assist in completion of this project.

This initial production of the Painting Little Faces "dummy book" is being executed by the generous donations of all talent, as well as the child "models" and studio. 

We are looking for Production Assistants that  can commit to our project understanding there is no monetary compensation.

We are in need of Production Assistants who can assist with the overall coordination of our studio time PRIOR TO, as well as ON our shoot date.

Production Assistant's Duties will include: 

Creating a shoot schedule, organizing contact lists, scheduling entertainment on set (for the kids that day), gaining signatures on model releases, assisting children on and off set, keeping us on schedule the day of our shoot and assisting in any other way deemed beneficial.
