NEW CLASSIC NUDE ART CONTEST

SPONSORED BY THE CHRISTIANIA ARTS FOUNDATION

The NEW CLASSIC NUDE ART contest is the second installment in a series of art competitions sponsored by the Christiania Art Foundation (CAF). As a brand, Christiania Vodka is committed to the world of art, and CAF was created to promote the work of emerging artists.

For centuries of artists, the nude was the highest _expression_ of human aspiration and artistic achievement. The goal of the NEW CLASSIC NUDE contest is to define today's version of the classic nude.  Based on Christiania Vodka's guiding principle of "purism"— or the single-minded, artisanal, truthful pursuit of doing what you do extremely well — the contests promotes artistic freedom of _expression_. The winning work will be featured on a prominent billboard in Miami's Wynwood Arts District (home to many Art Basel Miami Beach events as well as most of Miami's important galleries).

The NEW CLASSIC NUDE contest will be overseen and critiqued by a panel of art-world luminaries and collectors, including Lydia Fenet, an auctioneer at Christie's Auction House; Brett O'Bourke, Managing Editor of flavorpill.net; Dennis Leyva, Arts & Entertainment Liaison for the City of Miami Beach; Anthony Spinello, Director/Owner of Spinello Gallery; Donald McPherson, prominent Fashion Photographer; Steven Cayre, developer of Midtown Miami'; and longtime art patron and benefactor Alex Vik.
